The officers and commissioners serve in a voluntary capacity and receive no compensation.

 

The Lakeview Crime Prevention District was formed by Revised Statute 33:2740.35 of the Louisiana Legislature during the 1997 regular session.  The purpose of the District is to aid in crime prevention and to add to the security of residents of the District, providing an increase in law enforcement personnel in the District.
